Vial is 4341 spirit for 20 sec on a 120 sec CD. So thats worth 724 spirit or 408 mp5 and its an 'on use' so you have to remember to use it on CD.

You could just macro it to PW:S to use before cast so you take the guess work out of it. There isn't really a reason to time the trinket especially mid-end fight, unless for some reason you are full on mana. Only situation I can think of where you really wouldn't want to do that might be Gara'jal when you come back to full mana after coming up.

Out of curiosity, has anyone done any crunching on Relic Of Chi Ji vs Spirits of the Sun? Another healer and I were doing some research on trying to acquire the DMC (neither of us are herbalists or scribes) and whilst looking through the dungeon journal, i got curious.

The two trinkets are nearly identical for int, so just looking at spirit:

Relic of Chi Ji ( http://www.wowhead.com/item=79330/relic ... i#comments ) is 3027 spirit for 20 seconds on a 45 second cooldown or (very) roughly 1345 flat spirit.

Spirits of the Sun ( http://www.wowhead.com/item=86327 note: the tooltip is different in the dungeon journal) is 6908 spirit for 20 seconds on a 105 second cooldown, or (very) roughtly 1315 flat spirit

So either my information is off, or the Spirits is a slightly better trinket even though its 20 ilvl lower...
