This is definitely a gray area / chicken and egg issue. There are two ways to approach a list like this, IMO:

1) Best gear you can get without you yourself stepping in to a raid
2) Best gear you can get without being in an organized raid (I.E.: LFR and lower).

In either case, you won't be able to obtain the tailored pieces until someone is doing real raids, but that is only an issue for the first ~week.

Correct, October 9.

LFR is always one week after Normal. The disenchant was a bug, highly likely it will be Normal and HM drops like Essence of Destruction.

Confirmed by Blizzard now that you get it from disenchanting.
"The special Raid crafting reagent, the Blood Spirit, is only found when disenchanting raid weapons."

Yep I saw that today which is just silly for people who are not enchanters as LFR no longer reward shards, and be some time for normal and HM weapons to be disenchanted lol

The equipments for these quests:

Quest - The Final Power
Burning Necklace of the Golden Lotus (489)
seems an normal quest

Quest - Battle Axe of the Thunder King / Heroic-5
H) Burning Robes of the Golden Lotus (463)
EDIT: must have revered with golden lotus

Quest - Remnants of Anger
Sandals of the Shadow (476)
EDIT: must have slain raid world boss

seem pretty good, so its okay to priorize the faction which has valor itens not for neck, back and boots?
***Which would be golden lotus

Just wondering, but given the PP level for gems:

Best Gems:
Red = Brilliant Primordial Ruby = 160 PP
Blue = Purified Imperial Amethyst = 178.896 PP OR Sparkling River's Heart = 197.792 PP
Yellow = Reckless Vermilion Onyx = 205.776 PP OR Quick Sun's Radiance = 251.552 PP

Shouldn't we be using orange or purple gems in red sockets, instead of pure red gems?

Thousand-Year Pickled Egg (470)
Brewfest 2012: Corren Direbrew
904 = 904

I believe this trinket is undervalued.

If the ICD is the same as the cata version, then it's 45 seconds.

10% proc chance
45s ICD

10/45 = 22.22% uptime = 5082(.7861)(.2222) = 888 PP

I think 22.22% uptime as shadow is dreaming though so...

10/60 = 16.66% uptime = 5082(.7861)(.1666) = 665 PP
10/75 = 13.33% uptime = 5082(.7861)(.1333) = 532 PP
10/90 = 11.11% uptime = 5082(.7861)(.1111) = 443 PP

I am not sure what penalty would be appropriate for spending GCDs to try and get the trinket to proc.

However, even at 11% uptime, the trinket is worth maybe 1347PP (I realize that number needs to be discounted for the GCD loss).

@1347, It takes the #3 spot.

Thoughts?

I'll look at it. When I added a lot of the trinkets to the list(s), their ICDs hadn't been thoroughly tested or finalized so they probably aren't all correct.

Yes and no. You have to remember, this is a pre-raid BiS list using PP values from a set of gear that is T14N and below 8085 haste.

For Blue/Purple, that's only worthwhile if you're below hitcap and gemming for int/spirit won't put you over by more than a point or two.

You should be safe to gem it, just match colors.

After some thought, the Thousand-year pickled egg is most likely not even worth it. It would be slightly better than other trinkets at best, but you would have to track the ICD on your UI and renew to force the proc. The mental bandwidth required could be better utilized elsewhere IMO.

Your efforts are much appreciated Twintop.

Don't take this as nit-picking, but you should include the exptertise cogwheels as choices for helm/trinket.

Someone could use spirit + hit + expertise in the engi trinket to net 1800 spell hit rating.
