Grand Vizier Zor'lok Devouring Plague bug

Interesting wipe tonight on Zor'lok:

during phase 2 I got Converted and my Devouring Plague healed the boss up from 7% to 11% for a total of 16355140 health. We ended up wiping at 3%.

My whole guild made fun of me for preventing a kill...

Since DP is a % based heal, this kinda sucks in my opinion...

It's really hard to wipe on that boss if you guys are doing the debufs and interupts correctly. We ended up one-shotting him.

I'm having trouble understanding how the bug occurred. Is healing done to you while converted also transferred to the boss or something?

Looking at WoL logs it seems that all abilities used by MCed players during Convert are considered as if used by Zor'lok himself. So, if a damaging ability has a healing component in it, it will heal the boss too. Leaching Poison for example does the same as Devouring Plague. But since the healing part of Devouring Plagues is a % of maximum health and not a static amount, he heals for massive amounts if this happens.

My question is if you would consider this a bug, or unfortunate RNG? Any other spells that could screw with this boss in similar ways? We got him down later, but it still annoyed me quite a bit.
