Hmm that would probably be the case then, armory has me sitting at 2668 haste so yeah.

I usually use mrrobot to compare, and tbh I like that set up a lot, it puts me a lot closer to hit cap and provides a lot of haste (although short of the 3202 mark). I'm assuming this sim is designed to pull me close to 2589?

Actually, this does seem to be an issue on SIMBOT's end.
Since you are a Goblin, it is aiming for the 2583 Haste point for Devouring Plague (very close to Non-Goblin 2589 Haste point for Vampiric Touch). This seems to be a fine-tuning issue (I have plenty of these I still need to work out) where hit rating is valued higher than other stats.

Basically, it doesn't know when to go for 17% hitcap and when to aim for 16.8% (or even lower for that matter). Right now it only goes for 16.8%, but in this case, it would want to aim for 17% since it would be a greater DPS loss on the off-chance that you happen to miss a vital, 3-Orb, Mind Blast (since Mastery is prioritized after Haste).

I am somewhat unsure of how to prioritize Hit Caps over Haste Caps. However, I would think that the Hit Cap become more valuable as you gain more Mastery.
I have no evidence to back me up on this but my thought process goes kinda like this:
- Mastery = More Damage on Mind Blast/Spike via Shadow Orb stacks
- Mastery also increases DoT damage, of course, but is not reliant on Shadow Orbs stacks
- Missing a 3 Orb Mind Blast/Spike is more DPS lost as Mastery increases

So, to me, if you stack a ton of Mastery, you would want to be hitcapped (over, rather than under). This would be even more critical for SF/AA/MB/MS phases.

I know this doesn't really help much, but I hope I was able to shed some light as to what is going on here. :P

It's not just more mastery/using the T13 4pc that makes hit more important but also as you gain more int in your gearing up, missing those MB's and MS's becomes a much bigger deal.

Well atm, I have 16.74% hit. Have not had a chance to raid with the SIM BOTS reforged set yet so will have to see how we go.

Sorry for the double post.

Was hard to tell in raid tonight, but I did slightly better on Heroic Zon that last week with the the low haste/high mastery set up from the BOT. Hard to tell from Heroic Hagara, was our first kill, but the burst phases were really good.

Ultimate test will be Ultra tomorrow.

I was wondering: Is there anyway we can get a client ver of this or if you dont mind can i get access to a SVN of it? I am a CS Major and i would like to be able to run this on my own computer or maybe even give access so that the wait times arent as long for this feature?

Is there a problem with the server or something, I tried to get a new SIM twice last night and am yet to receive anything. Said the estimated wait time was 30 mins, I gave it 8 hours :P

As of right now, this is extremely difficult to do because the program has a lot of hard-coded values that are specific to my computer folder layout. This is mainly because, like most of my other projects, it started out with "I wonder if I can..." which resulted in my code being extremely messy and unorganized.

Yea, it was off all night, I forgot to start it when I restarted my computer. It's running for real now. ;)

Just a heads up:

When I look at the breakdown, it always takes the +50 int gem from my staff and switches it with the +40 int from my helm.

It shouldn't bother much since both gem spots are red so the gem bonuses are still in effect but I'm not sure if it does it to everyone and/or if it will effect anyone.

When it gems your gear, it puts it in whatever slot comes first.
