Cool story: 3% wipes on H Ultraxion with myself healing as Disc and our Resto Shaman healing.

Now with an even more awesome Holy Paladin who is even more awesome at Ret than our last one, I smell a kill coming soon.

Thing is I just can't pull the dps numbers to compete so why bother? It can be successfully healed (and has been) with D Priest/R Shaman.

I can't even tell you how many of those wipes we had, including one at 400k. >.<

And yeah I said only if you don't have a SP, the first time we killed it I was shadow as we didn't have a mainspec shadowpriest (we do now) and I did about 30k in healer gear (with some dps trinks) so your dps shouldn't be TOO bad as long as you can do the basic rotation and not die :P

Holy is nice too, divine hymn with blue buff = about 15 ticks lol, tried it in LFR and it was insane, we basically didn't take any damage for the last 10 secs or so :D

Why would you absolutely need a Shadow Priest? I don't see a need. We have enough players to rotate in for Hour and we use the CDs of which players won't take damage at all (Divine Shield, Ice Block, Deterrance) towards the end of the fight when the last thing you want to do is worry about getting someone topped off as you come back into the Twilight realm.

You don't NEED one, it's just nice to have :) I don't know your setup and we don't have a hunter so it was just some general advice.

If it was a concern then I would've never considered myself as a healer for this encounter and spiffed up my Shadow skills ;)

Thus this post would never exist! Luckily both our old and new Paladins play Ret beautifully and still bring us the 3% damage bonus (Mage goes Fire to use Cauterize on an early Hour).

GL anyway, it's not a hard fight once you get into it, wipe reasons should be progressively healing > tank deaths > soak deaths > stupid reasons > kill
