Wotlk archive

Postby Wotlkpriest » September 4th, 2012, 5:25 am

Hey there :)
A while back, i was still new to playing shadow priest, and i found the site shadowpriest.com which helped me tons and helped take the newb straight out of me, but now that h2p has replaced it, all the wotlk threads aren't there anymore( like the thread "Best Raiding Gear 3.3.5 edition" for example), and i was wondering if there was any way to access those threads right now because they're pretty much the best information i could find on shadow priests.

I think H2P should be focused on relevant content.

On private servers, there is a large community of Shadow Priests who still play patches 3.3.3 through 3.3.5, which IMO was the "Golden Age" of Shadowpriests, for WotLK at least. I still remember a lot from those days, but the old archives are the "Holy Grail" for those private servers.

^This
That large community of shadow priests on wotlk could really make use of the information that was found in the pre-cata archives

Here's the deal. I do care about the priest community as a whole, but I personally don't support the whole private server thing. I don't feel like it contributes to the spirit of the game, but that's just my opinion. That being said, I won't be copying over an archive of shadowpriest.com simply because it's going to be a huge headache for me to do so.

Currently, the previous owner is still hosting the site. You can access it at <snip> and you can find/copy any threads that are relevant to you. I am more than happy to make a forum specifically for those who may be interested in older content if you'd like me to and you are welcome to put those important threads there for safekeeping. Please note that you will only be allowed to view the site at that IP address until Tuesday, September 11th, 2012.

Let me know if you would like a previous content forum.

As long as you understand you'll have to provide your own topics and such there for old stuff. All of the guides/gear lists that you saved from shadowpriest.com will have to be posted by users.
