Multidotting help

Our AoE damage is now very low compared to other classes. Looking at hunters and mages who effortlessly pull 80K-100k in dungeon group encounters makes me blush. I used to be the queen of AoE! .. not anymore :(
I read and I learn - so I want to dot all of the bad guys before I can Mind Sear them, I tab and apply dots, tab again. The problem is that due to placement of targets I tab mostly among 3 mobs while the rest stays untouched by me - the great angel of death.
Is there any addon (like "Enemy Grid") or technique that solves the problem?

I use Tidy Plates with the debuff widget turned on...not useful in absolutely massive packs (or when things are moving around constantly so that nameplates are shifting), but it helps enough for a medium sized pack.
