Tier 3 - Level 45 Talents

Postby ShadowSub » October 16th, 2012, 7:16 am

Hello all! I am a long time player. I've been raiding as a Hunter since early BC and for a number of different reasons I decided to make a change for MoP.

I have researched and experimented a bit with the different talents and have formed some of my own opinions. What I am looking for here is just some other opinions about the three Tier 3, level 45 talents. For example, which of the three is strongest, instances/situations where one may be better than another, etc.

Like I mentioned above, through research and experimenting I have formed some opinions myself but being new to Shadow I greatly value input from other players, things I may not think about. Thanks for taking the time to read and I look forward to reading some other opinions.

SW: Insanity seems to be a poor choice all around. FDCL is probably the strongest choice in cases where controlled burst isn't needed (think Heroic Spine of Deathwing plates). In that case Mindbender would be a better option as all the damage is dependent on that burst phase. However, I don't think there are any fights like this yet in MoP. Maybe one could argue Elegon's sparks but not sure as I haven't dpsed that fight.

We actually did Elegon a couple days ago. Those sparks did take some getting used to with no major burst but once you get into the rhythm of building orbs on Elegon himself between each spark so you have at least 2 sometimes even 3 for DP, it wasn't too tough getting them down.

I haven't really experimented much at all with SW Insanity other than on the dummies but I think you are right.
