i remember the first time i started healing and your filled with the 'fear' of not being able to fill your role.
'what if people die'
'do i have the regen'
ect ect but the best advice anyone can give you is just grab a healing spec jump into a dungeon and test it out for yourself. you will do fine and you may even enjoy it more than dps :)
I am no expert, but I would like to address your "fears"
There are how many millions of people playing wow today? Are you going to let the opinions of a select few ruin "YOUR" fun? At the end of the day, you are playing the $15.00 a month, you make the choices what you wish to do with your game time. As soon as I developed that attitude the game became even more fun for me! My first toon was a shadow, not something I would ever recommend. But I leveled her up, and I still have fun with her. But I was asked to heal once on a guild run, was not a pretty sight! There were no survivors....so I rolled a new holy toon and have done nothing but run dungeons as a healer. Yes I have had some jerks who want to scream at me that I am a noob. I really no longer care what they say, I know the truth and I know what is and is not my fault. If the tank refuses to stay within my range...I will get closer and "triage" his ass....if he wont give me time to mana up, he dies. And the REAL bright side..healers get almost instant ques! :)
I hope this helps
