Anyway, from time to time I'm wondering if everything about my char I am doing properly. Every single piece of my rotation, build, eq was made all by myself only. But (like today) when 2 meeles with ilvl lower by 10 are overdpsing me in stupid HC dungeon pretty seriously I am starting to worry a little bit. Not that I think I should rule the world, no no - just want to make sure if I cannot improve something.
Well, you can check me on the armory. Hitcapped as needed. There was a time that I was going into haste like a blind man, but now I've decided to put smth in mastery or crit. Dont know anything about softcapp or hardcapp about mastery, haste, crit - u can say smth about that.
Whats the limit of haste ? Since Ive got 5% buff from myself and +3% haste from Warlock its around 31-32% haste. Isn't it too much ? Too low ?
Most important thing I wanted to ask. Rotation.
Lets talk about boss rotation, because trash is not that important for me. You can imagine dummy or any boss u want - but nothing that makes me move or doing somthing that can break my dps. Just want to find out if my order of spells, dots, casts is good - or if it can be any better.
Im opening with Fade just before pull, so my GCD is over and I can start my rotation with everybody. After Fade im starting with VT, then SWP and DP. Then Mind Flay until 1st orb. When I have it - Mind Blast to get the buff. Start to Mind Flay all over again. And now is the question I am struggling for some time alrdy. Should I wait until new orb ( or 3 of them ) with my Mind Blast to renew the buff - or spam it just when MB's CD wears off without waiting for orbs and just forget about buff. I may loose buff sometimes and extra dps from DOTs but MB is biggest direct DMG I can couse and wasting it because of waiting for orb may be a more DPS loss than gain from DOTs buff. What do you think ?
And if I should wait for orbs, should I wait for 1st available and shoot MB or wait for 3 and then have some better DMG from MB too.
OFC my prio are DOTs so they are constantly up. I also try to move all the time while im throwing SWD and DP to have bigger chance to proc my shadowy aparation.
Also at the start, just before first MB im popping Shadow Fiend, Archangel (only with 5 stacks of Evangelism, what is like 1,7-2 Mind Flay casts) to have some "burst".
Im using my Volcanic Potion only when Hero is up (with one exception). Also trying to save Shadow Fiend and Archangel to pop all together when Hero starts. Just to have greatest dps improvement - but only if I know the exact moment of the fight when hero is going to be used by Shammy or a water mach... sorry ... by a mage ^^.
Is there any difference in order of dotting ? I mean should SWP be first ? Or DP ? Or VT ( like Im doing it ) ? Or just put them at the same time without paying any attention which will be first.
Sorry its that long, but really want to say anything that may be needed for u to improve my playing style and DPS ofc.
