Spirit shell should be discs quick absorb like instant with 3 charges off the GCD as well make it cast able while casting other spells, like the monk channel and cast spell. When you run out of charges it goes on a 15 sec cooldown. Then the charges would regen at 30 sec a charge while charges are still up and when you activate its cooldown for 15 sec you get all 3 charges on your counter.

Thoughts on this change enough people like I will submit via my direct link to priests in blizz see what they think with the counter of responses that I get.

Right now, I think spirit shell is supposed to be the disc priest equivalent of heal. Considering how mana efficient it is, combined with the cast time... it makes sense.

If you haven't noticed, you can 'stack' the absorb amount to somewhere around 2x-2.5x the absorb of one. One thing to probably start keeping track of is what disc shield has priority.

Hopefully, It's PW:S, Divine Aegis, Spirit Shell. Meaning you'd only use Spirit Shell when a tank is taking relatively small damage, and PW:S is on cooldown.

Spell can be ok, if they change the base cast time to be faster.
U need 3 casts to reach the "20% of max health caster" bubble cap for this absorb. 3 sec base cast is just to long imo, for such spell.

Yeah the 3x cast time seems like it's not really worth using compared to other stuff right now. It'll be interesting to see what they do to change it.

Well it appears the crab is intent on changing it, to fill the role of Greater Heal now instead of Heal. Seems they still are in "WTF do we Do" mode with Priests.... again. I'm not sure how other people feel, but 3 sec cast spells aren't something I am looking for as a healer. But I want to play a healer like a dps class, constantly casting fast or instant spells. Probably why I hate the whole lets balance healing with mana idea. I much prefer healing to be balanced on the global, at least Haste becomes an (very) attractive stat. Let's cross our fingers and hope Priests get to a more polished state soon.

Spirit Shell has now been changed to a 1 min cooldown (off the GCD). Once used, for the next 15 seconds, all of your greater heal, flash heal, heal, and prayer of healing casts leave an absorb instead of healing. The absorb lasts for 15 seconds. As far as I can tell, you cannot stack the absorb on one group - casting the same heal more than once simply extends the duration of the absorb, but not the amount.

I have to say, I like this much better than its previous incarnations.

Also, rapture now removes the cooldown on power word: shield. :D
