CoW vs WoMPoM Discussion

Postby Naerdriel » 06 Jan 2015, 16:44

Friends, I'd like to start a nice discussion of these talents.

1) Which fights do you take CoW/WoMPoM
2) What is your healing roster like?

Kargath - I run CoW on this fight because I am assigned to go up and CoW'ing with PI/Ko'ragh trinket on-use let's people rape the adds while standing in bombs and so I can keep the tank up.

Butcher - WoM. No reason to use CoW here. You literally have 0 free globals.

Brackenspore - CoW. I can probably run WoM because we use 2 Paladins.

Twin Ogron - WoM. Too much movement, in my opinion, to utilize CoW to it's maximum potential.

Ko'ragh - CoW. I have to heal the soakers and they take a ridiculous amount of damage so I save Power Infusion for it and go to town.

Tectus - Not much healing on this fight unless you're taking a shit ton of damage from Upheaval. I just take WoM and DPS most of the time while keeping shields up on the tank.

Mar'gok - I use WoM because there's of movement on this fight + we use 2 paladins so the tanks are pretty much covered by them and I can focus solely on raid healing.

Roster:
2 Paladin
1 MW
1 Priest
1 Shaman
1 Druid

Kargath: Tend to use WoM, I'm not going upstairs and there's plenty of small raid damage.
Twins: COW initially as I had to keep up our Phemos tank during WW, but lately that has been easy without it so WoM
Brackenspore: CoW and PWS are the only ways to actually 'heal' the tank during necrotic breath and makes the mechanic ever so much easier.
Tectus: CoW for the heavy tank damage later in the fight.
Butcher: No time to cast CoW, WoM.
Ko'ragh: CoW to help the tanks and the soaker.
Imperator: WoM.

1 shaman
1 paladin
1 disc priest
1 druid.

On the fights using WoM are people shoving in the glyphed PW:S to get the bonus heal?

How does glyphed PW:S (and I assume you mean the 20% to heal conversion here) interact with WoM exactly? It doesn't give 2 stacks... or does it? If it does it might be worth it for butcher, although I hate missing my weakened soul glyph on that.

1) CoW is my default talent. That said, I've been useing WoM on some heroic fights - namely Butcher and Brankenspore. On Ko'ragh I am normally tank healing, and focusing on the shield-getter-type people; I find that CoW is really nice for this. In fact, for most of the fights that others seem to take WoM on, I don't jdue to our healing team's composition and my healing focus/job based on that composition.

2) 1 disc, 2 holy priests, 1 resto shaman

Also, I'd never use that glyph. There is really no need for me to use it; our Holy Priests' Renews tick up any missing HPs. I'd rather have my sheild be at full strength.
