DI Nerfed on PTR 4.1

I wouldn't expect them to put it back at what it was pre-nerf (25%), but I would hope they would bump it back up to 20% to compensate for the loss of DI dmg.

Yeah, back in beta we thought DI was way too powerful... we honestly didn't expect it to make it through to live. Yet patch after patch it stayed.

Unfortunately, considering the current balancing style they've gone to... we probably wouldn't get buffed back up until we're into 4.2 where they've collected enough data to say shadow is too low.

This made me laugh really hard. Doubling mind sears dmg, on the ptr at least, is very minor compared to other caster AOE. And currently we Mind sear(depending on strat) On what, one fight? And thats Sinestra. I would take DI the same way it is now, or a 10% buff back to our shadow mastery instead of doubling our Mind Sear

I would Mind Sear on the whelps for Halfus, Maloriak green phase- maybe dark phase, more to save mana. I dont know about you but I already Mind Sear the adds on Omnotron. Dots cant tick and Mind Spike/MB spam works but it can be annoying to target the adds without a macro. And with a macro, you can target adds that are about to die. Conclave, depending on your strat, you need to MindSear the adds or multi-dot them. We ignore the adds (kite) until the end of the fight and than jump over and aoe all of them.

A lot of you also need to stop and realize our Shadow Apps dont count on logs- so not only am I topping the dps on almost every fight, part of my dps is not even counted.

My point is, we are still in a good place, even with the DI nerf.

Dotting adds with VT is higher dps and works better. Maloriak you should be tab dotting with VT/SW;P and refresh with mindflay/taping back to vt its better mana management and better dmg period. Also Mindspiking the adds might be more annoying but it is far better dps.

I still think that the buff to Mindsear doesnt compliment the nerf to DI.
