Shadow word: death

So I can sound really dumb for this. But I noticed on simcraft that Shadow word: Death has more DPET than Mind Flay. I was wondering if you would like to compare with what you were previously doing to adding shadow word death on a target dummy.



I believe I have 200-300 dps increase.



Here is my dps before swd use.



Here is my dps after the use of swd.

These tests were done with just inner fire and replenish and performed on a raid target dummy. No debuffs were present on these dummies.

The simcraft was done with just having spell haste buff and replenishment.

I'm curious to see your responses.

I could also be the worst spriest in existence and should uninstall.

One thing I am not sure on though is if simcraft is using swd at <25%. Does anyone know?

Yea:
shadow_word_death,health_percentage<=25
You can find it int the "Action Priority List"


@Topic: Just think about your Shadowfiend Cooldown. Mindflay decrease the Cooldown, SW:D does not.

Also MF helps you generate orbs which would not be taken into account with that information. Basically over short durations you might see a boost in dps using sw:d when it is of CD... but over an entire boss fight I would doubt it would hold up.
