Gearing for 5.0.4 Cataclysm Raids

Postby Hanzimare » August 22nd, 2012, 5:26 am

I am interested in seeing how the current BiS set looks for the new MoP talents. 5.0.4 is a week away & even though we will only be at 85 for a month with those talents, I still plan on raiding.

I'll see what I can put together.

I ran a couple of Sims myself because I was wanting to know the same thing. Not sure if I messed something up, but Mind Bender was easily the best talent out of the three in that tier, though I didn't change the other tier (Just took ToF). Crit was coming out way ahead of haste though.

This is what I'm suspecting will be true. As it stands, we'll be far ahead of the DP+2 and SWP+2 Haste breakpoints but just shy of the next breakpoint (~3600 haste @ 85?), so the stat priority of Crit > Mastery > Haste should hold true.

Are we then gonna go for VT+2 (2589) that would maybe be 2974 (2589 + (128.05716 * 3) (as from loss in 3% haste talent, (2843 goblin (2589 + (128.05716 * 2)).
Or even lower like SW:P+2 (1993) 2378 (2250 goblin).
my math might be wrong, was taking the combat ratings from elitist jerks.

If it will not be all different that Crit or Mastery will be better than haste for now.

Split topics and locked the old thread since it was full of outdated information.

ty.

As much as I enjoyed the challenge of juggling numbers on paper to help others, I was my own worst enemy doing my own. And with I believe Crit? jumping in value, all the old rules are out the window.

Are the combat ratings even going to stay the same? I ask because at level 90 they're all integers, which suggests that Blizzard changed something about the way they scale.
