The recommend talents are fine.

The only other thing to note is that cascade does stupid, dumb, stupid, ridiculous, amazing, retarded, stupid, jaw-dropping, unbelievable, tremendous, damage to the ice-walls.

Depending on comp / strat, you may want to take cascade.

I agree, definitely take cascade. But if you think cascade is ridiculous wall damage, I'd like to introduce you to elemental shaman :D

That's what wall damage usually looks like for our raid

You mean demo locks. Destro lock dmg on the walls is mainly shadowburn overkills. Looks good on the meters, doesn't do much in practice.

What he is saying is that destro locks might look impressive on the meters, but they are doing largely ineffective damage and thus demo is probably the better choice.

My guild is currently working on this fight and I had a couple questions/comments.

1) During the ice walls are you guys targeting the furthest section for cascade? Or the middle sections and letting it ricochet back? Are you multi-dotting the close sections or just mindsearing off the boss?

2) I noticed that recount wasn't catching the damage done from cascade on Durumu himself. Not sure if this is just an issue with recount or if the damage is not being dealt. With odd things happening in this room and Primordius's room (flooring los issues?) I just wanted to see if this was a known problem.

1) whatever I happen to be targeting at the time. I'm sure there is a way to reach theoretical maximum but it doesn't seem to matter to me.

2) I put a SWP on every icewall that is targetable depending on raid comp. If they are still up when I'm done with that, mind sear off the boss.

I just target a random part of the wall and letting it bounce freely. Also, our walls die kind of fast due to having an elemental shaman in the raid, so i usually just tab Pain the 2 wall sections that he ISN'T targeting :D Once ive gotten enough pains out, I do the same as Hunger; sear off durumu/inner wall and snipe an SWD from the dying walls. Was enough for rank 1 parse, so you can't go too wrong with doing that.
