The problem with talents like SoD has always been this idea of GCD bottlenecks. There's this really narrow window where the talent is truly effective, somewhere between 2-3 targets, and 4-5. In addition, you need a really predictable, sustained situations where this magical 3-4 target situation exists. You get outside of that window, and one side is single target, and the other is "gcd locked".

I dunno, I think that's probably the issue with SOD right now. Maybe I'm wrong.

Haste is top two in both specs, so you want haste. After that Crit and Multistrike are fairly close for CoP, and Crit is way ahead for AS.

TL:DR - if you are going for a single set of gear, get Haste and Crit

Considering the delta between Crit and Haste in the two specializations, wouldn't Crit as a general gearing guideline for one set trump Haste? 0.5796 to 0.5522 is way closer than 0.8038 to 0.6471.

I'm glad that we have all those statweights, but I'm still confused whether I should enchant Haste or Crit on my pre-raid gear.

The reason I was holding orbs was to delay dp so I didn't mind spike the dot off, the root of the question was "which is better, mind spike or channeling insanity(minus sw:p and vt) during execute"

During execute forget that spike exists unless it's to clear SW:P/VT at 20%, otherwise MB+SW:D on CD, DP and go HAM with Insanity.

Also Vampz you totally have a gem in your bracers :)

Just want to check that I'm doing this correctly...

3-4 mobs - dot everything with SWP/VT and begin dotweaving. SWD below 20% even though the target has dots?

Anything over 4 mobs, just seer until 3 mobs and return to above?

From the testing/playing I've done a Mind Spike to clear off dots in execute range is generally a DPS increase thanks to the 40% buff as you should only have a little bit left on any dots on the target anyway.

Other than that it's pretty spot on.
