Touchy's pvp guide!

Glyphs:
1. glyph of mass dispell
2. glyph of dark bingingd
3. open slot, pref mind spike/fade.

Spec:
t1. phyfiend vs void tendrills!
a) phyfiend is generally stronger except for the very few exception teams in 2s/3s. For example it becomes pointless and less effective verse a warrior/dk in 2s because the game won't last very long and roots well be far better for set up and survival when a warrior can zerk and a dk and lich fears.
t2. phantasm is the only option!
a) although body and soul and maybe feathers might look good they're not. yes is pvp getting distance and being able to kite is key. what good is a speed movement buff of 60% when you have a constant snare effect on you of at least 30-60%. keep in mind the speed buff doesn't cancel it out like 60% for 60% verse 60% of that 60%. and phantasm provides more then snare/root outs but as well as a 3 sec self smoke bomb.A GOOD SPRIEST IS HARD TO CC, A SPRIEST THAT ISN'T CC'ED IS A HEALER THAT ISN'T CC'ED! Because of Mass dispells and off heals!!! key for phantasm and guise!!!
t3. from Darkness vs mindbender!
a) from darkness is very strong in a long game in which the spriest gets a lot of free time to cast and control the paste of the game. keep in mind the darkness procs do effect the internal cd of divine insight, but in most cases its still more overall dmg. How ever in a long game when the spriest has little to no time to free cast it is MUCH HARDER to keep enough VT's flowing to keep up with mana, in which this case mindbender is far superior if cd is managed well.
t4. spectral guise and nothing else!
a) yes desperate prayer and a "cheat death" look good but once again they're not! "dp" on avg without a battle masters only heals for 30% based hp which comes out to about 1.5 flash heals and the cheat death bubble is scaled no more then 110% of a pw:s!
b) so why spectral guise? not because its the better of the three evils but because its simply too strong! being able to gise multiple cc including stuns and deep freezes! but also making it harder to cc you by guising incoming cc when you don't have a fade up! A GOOD SPRIEST IS HARD TO CC, A SPRIEST THAT ISN'T CC'ED IS A HEALER THAT ISN'T CC'ED! Because of Mass dispells and off heals!!! key for phantasm and guise!!!

2 Things wrong with this so far, Psyfiend is amazing against any comp bc 90% of the time you play a TSG your getting tunneled have fun chasing a pally to get fears with a dk and warrior on you. The exception to this rule is if you play with a lock then tendrils would be better bc lol blood fear.

Number 2 I really like PI atm over devine insight sets up burst so much better with on use. Since I currently play Fireplay on my priest atm when its up during a deep freeze swap its rare that we don't kill!

It all varies depending on what you play with and against. And as of for PI I couldn't agree more that of course its more burst set up, but unless you're currently playing with a mage, running shatter play "god comp" Divine Insight clearly proves to be more overall dmg and at times more defensive/offensive when it comes to orbs. considering in a 3s game you can have at a minimum of at least 3 sw:p up if not even 5 depending on pets. As well as 5-8 in 5s can surly provide more then enough consent mind blast procs that help keep your numbers up. Now keep in mind considering dp is our higher end burst spell and although PI can enhance it during a nice burst period, divine insight simply gives you more up time. With that being said like most things in this game things vary depending on the situation at hand.

Mind spike glyph is a must. Not for MS MS MB instant, but when you get a proc from FDCL that MS will speed your next MB - helps not getting into a long CS. I'd consider the 6% magic dmg reduction from inner sanc as well - against mages... shift to inner will against melee and 116% speed - thats fast. Tough choices but we are in a a good pvp state right now!!!

It would make far more sense for Inner Will to work with +speed on boots (It does not) and Psychic Horror to not require orbs (Baseline for ALL priests would make the most sense at this point)

Keep in mind, our Shadow heals are going to be nerfed by 25%ish, or more, in 5.1. This will hurt.
