Yesterday i was running stonecore, just leveling like normal, and we got to Slabhide, killed him pretty fast and lo and behold! the one thing i never expected dropped. Reins of the Vitreous Stone Drake. 0.o lost it to a hunter by 3 points in a roll. Pretty sure thats the only time ill see that again.

Thank goodness for this new loot system so I never have to see what the worst players get. Nothing angered me so much as seeing someone so bad get that mace.

Just solo it, super easy at 90, I soloed it and got it, yet to do Vortex Pinnacle... Takes forever and is daughting to do over and over.

I would farm Stonecore everyday during Cata via Dungeon Finder.
Nothing.

Hired a tank on the last months of Cata to farm it in normal every Friday (Non raid day) for 10 - 15 runs each time.
Nothing.

I solo it 2-3 times a week for 5-6 runs since October.
Nothing.

Back in Wrath the Blue Proto Drake dropped in a LFG run... Me and some other guy both rolled 100's and I lost. Similar situation happened to be in LBRS (might have been UBRS was so long ago) back in the day. Warrior tier dropped me and another warrior rolled, both got 100's and the other guy won :( I never did get that piece.

3 years to win a Kodo and 5 for the HHM mount... think I lost about 15 Kodos and 7 HHM mounts the first year...

My bitch-to-get mount was the Baron Mount. It took me over 372 runs to get that damn mount.

What's even better was, one morning I was farming it and another girl in my guild was as well. I decided I wanted some company (because it still took me a little bit of time to clear the instance at that time) so I asked her if she wanted to join me, figuring the mount wouldn't drop anyway.

Well, our first run through together and mount drops (first time I had seen it, this was at run ~120), and I lost the roll. I wanted to stab my eyes out. It took me another 150+ runs to FINALLY get mine.

A few months later, her boyfriend was doing dailies on her character for her, and just for shiggles I asked him to check her "Boss Kill Statistics" to see how many times she had actually killed Baron before that mount dropped for us. She got it on her 14th kill. Yep. 14. /wrists

11 for me when my Warrior friend had done about 120 times with no luck.

Don't worry I've yet to see Fiery Reigns after a solid year or more of at least doing on one character, if not two or three.
