Our host's in-house developed system for Early Hard Disk Detection and Warning has signaled that there is an issue with the hard drive of the server on which H2P's MySQL databases and email messages are stored. At this time the system has tracked that only parts of the hard drive are damaged. Even though hardware issues like this are extremely rare and beyond anyone’s control, they have immediately taken preventive measures to keep the H2P website and databases intact. The restore procedure has been successfully completed and the failed hard drive has been removed and replaced.
Some recent accounts and posts were lost in the process. It seems to be everything that was posted on Sept 18th only. The site/server could remain slow through the day.
We'd like to apologize for all inconvenience caused and express our understanding on how frustrating this might be for H2P users.
Thanks,
V + the H2P Team
