I just realized I have to level fishing to get mats to make 300int food and min/max.

So I decide to be ambitious and go to bed super early last night so I can get up early today to level fishing. As I start WoW, I see the breaking news maintenance and realize that its Tuesday. Not only is it Tuesday but the servers just literally went down 20 minutes ago and will be down for at least 8 hours. /sigh

Fishing can be tedious. I got two toons maxed with the StV tourney pole. I have always liked fishing in game and in real life, but I know plenty of folks who don't. For those that don't like it, I have the following recommendations:

Stand by the trainer in your capitol city and fish while you are hanging out, trolling trade, chatting with guildies, waiting on a Queue, etc.

Do the fishing daily.
Do the Darkmoon fishing quest, if its that time of month.

Scan Els Anglin if you are looking for something in particular.

I seemed to do better fishing Darkmmon Faire waters. May have just been how it felt, but doing the fishing quest there I think I was 1 point per fish, plus the turn in bonus on the quest.

Might wanna wait til MoP, I can't say for sure but I remember seeing posts about how they're going to make leveling quicker.

I saw no speed improvements in beta. You can level fishing all in one city it just means fish u catch are low level fish.

I don't know if it's been changed recently, but leveling cooking during the Thanksgiving event used to be really easy and really effective. Can always hold out till then! Or, hold out till next week...I think cooking IS one of the ones they made easier.
