PvP as shadow isn't as bad as people make it out to be. To be honest not a lot has changed from the days of old.

rogues, dk, warr and pally retri, even with my almost 3k resi still hurts a lot.

if i do 2x2 versus one healer its hard to win.

thats why im doing 2x2 with one rogue to do the smoke thing and we kill without healer heal ehehhe

but it is still hard to win versus any 2x2 with healer and one of these class ive said before.

i dont think shadowpriest is weak at pvp, they are one of the strongest on my opinion, usually on any x5 ive made, my dmg is always the best and usually shadow word death helps a lot to finish the guy(glyphed).

love to be spriest on arena xD or bg.

maybe i need the mooncloth 4 pieces for shadow.

Im learning a bit everyday, i think i must learn a lot more, anyone know any good setups for spriests on 2x2, 3x3 and 5x5?

Cya guys,

check worldofwargraphs.com for top comps,

spriest/mage is by far the most common 2s - you really need to learn what to focus, and get ppl out in the open. We are running problems against DK/Rogue+healer teams atm in the 1800-2k bracket, once we clear that, it's an easy 2k imo.

There are lots of little things to learn too: how to use and set up focus macros, good addons to use (spell alerter, gladius, afflicted), positioning (very important), cc timing, etc, there are lots of things to learn, each one makes you a better player. I am a 1900-2k player, looking to push 2200 this season and get better myself, but these kinds of tips i can offer to other players who are working up to that.

Thank you for the site, pretty awesome.

I've been wanting to get some proof to show another shadow priest guildie that his comp is indeed flavor of the month. :]

Pvp Shadow priest checking in! I quit raiding about a year ago and have since then only pvp'd. I have 2300 experience so I know mostly what I'm doing :P Hopefully when I have time I'll post some threads on macros and ui type things to help others out. Also if people have questions just post a new thread and I'll be checking them out and replying as soon as i can :)

I did most of my pvp in vanilla (r14) I don't really do arenas, but I still have fun in bgs :)

Hi everyone. I roll disc priest for pvp and for pve. Our Comp is Fmage/AWarrior/DPriest. For twos its the Mage and myself however he has been grouping with this shadowpriest recently (I'm not hurt... :'( really!) and they have done very well. While I'm not quite ready to make the jump to Spriest I'd like to know some basics if I decide to switch. I purchased the sp helm to get the 2set bonus x2 so I could easily build a Spriest set. Our 3s team is around 1600 and 2s 1700.

highheals you should keep 4pc mooncloth as it is better for spriests atm. With superior mobility survival goes up quite a bit. Most spriests run 4pc mooncloth, it works out fairly well ;) just reforge everything to haste. haste haste haste - other than INT it is your main stat.

I'm considering moving back to shadow pvp after I get 4 pc mooncloth. I find survivability is currently too low even with semi-reliable peels. All I need is a DK/warr/rogue on me and it's over.

Disc pvp, however I find I can play much more offensively than shadow. mana burn, mind spike, dots. Discs survivability is so great right now that I find myself having plenty of GCDs even if I have a dps or two on me.

I find that resilience hardly makes a difference as shadow, so I tend to just raid gear BGs with a pvp trinket. Disc for arenas (with as much mastery and resil as i can get).
