Heroic Rag: Holy or Disc

So far this is the only fight in this tier that's made me consider going holy.

What are you guys doing this fight as and why? (I'm sure both specs are viable; just curious what y'all are doing.)

You know, I've honestly been thinking about going holy for Heroic Rag (10man), as well.

I heal with a Holy Paladin and I feel like I'm lacking the oomph to heal the raid up. However, I do preshield before seeds pop...and that's a nice buffer as well as not ooming as quickly as holy.

Would love others' inputs on what they are doing.

Depends on what your role is. I've been primarily tank healing and we incorporate PWB into our strategy (for both Seed AOE Damage and triggering a trap while debuffed in P1). As such, I've been rolling disc.

Holy has its benefits for sure... COH and yes, even renew is handy on this fight.

I think it depends on your healer roster/make up. If youre going to be doing minimal tank healing, or if you already have 1-2 pallies-- Holy. If youre going to be leveraging Barrier and tank healing a lot, I vote Disc.

So I've played both specs so far and holy is great until the last phase. It isn't bad in the last phase, it's just that I can see how disc would be better with the phase 4 damage distribution.

We have 2 holy pallies so I will probably continue to do this fight as holy unless that changes.

Why would Disc be better in phase 4 because of the damage distribution?
