Yea, what Drye said about my macro is right.
It's best to get a couple mind spikes off before using your Shadowfiend so you can get 3 3-Orb Mind Blasts.

Wow they nerfed spine hard. Is the 15% tendon health included in the zonewide nerf? Is it a 20% nerf??

No player buff, a 5% zone wide debuff on mob health and damage. I would assume the 15% is tacked on until someone can get in there and confirm the tendon health.

Oh pooh I totally read it as a buff to players that they will ramp up over time like they did in ICC.

The dark blue being shown can either be a 1tick mf depending on your ms or a hard casted MB, either works. I'm really tired and tbh didn't put hardly any time into, just thought I'd give everyone a sense of time for the tendons. I also took zerking out of the rotation/macro if you do have zerker you can get an extra MS in after the first MB.

Actually, for the Shadowfiend I did not use a macro, but that's to show where I summoned it.
After that I used x2 (x3 Mind Spike, 1-2 Mind Flay Ticks, Mind Blast)
The tendon then still casts about 1,5s which was sometimes enough to cast another Mind Spike + Devouring Plague.

What I thought was odd, that my first Mind Spike also landed after I gained the Archangel Buff, but I guess thats useful

On the first tendon appearance, I think I did 1,5 Mio damage. Another fun thing seems to be, that my second Mind Blast had no orbs, but the Dragonwrath proc from it got 3 orbed :)

So last night we had our first few attempts on this, I did not have much time to set up macros and what not because honestly I didn't think we would kill Warmaster as fast as we did.

However I did the best we could with what I had read previously, and I ended up being sat out for doing low tendon damage (even though on some attempts I was doing around 1 mill). Also, I was sat out for a hunter so the raid could have the crit buff but even then, there wasn't much change in overall tendon damage.

So a few questions. Firstly, I flayed like crazy after the first tendon burn but could not get Fiend up for the second time, it was always out bu like 1 minute, is this just bad luck or am I doing something wrong? The other spriest in our raid had the same problem.

Similarly, I tried Moonwell Chalice, and although I wasn't in the raid for many attempts, it wasn't up either for the second tendon burn. I'm assuming my tendon dps lacked overally because of both the trinket and Fiend not being up the second time, so again, am I better to use Bottled Wishes instead and H NF?

Lastly, I've been reading a lot about what macros people are using. Obviously it's hard for me to gauge since I only had about 6 attempts last night before I was subbed, but what are people finding success with? I'm worried, with limited chances to try it out on the boss, it's hard to get the practice in to perfect the damage, so I'd like to find something to smash the dummies with at least to get some order in my head.

i agree, it can be really tight getting the SF for the second burn.
sometimes we have an arcane mage present which would buff me the 3% crit, that helps.
otherwise it's always very close and i call out on teamspeak if i'm good to go, because between having and not having a SF ready is at least a 500-600k dmg difference.

we always have the corruption cast 2 fiery grips. with the recent hp nerf and better gear you can kill the amalgamation way faster, but that would be to fast for most cooldowns. i guess raids that farm the encounter easily will get the tendons down to 20-25% after the first nuke and don't need everything ready to finish it, but when still struggling with damage waiting for CDs helps - although overall you get more and more bloods :(
