Simple Forum Guidelines - (2/22/16)
by Veiled » 07 Feb 2011, 19:01
Content; No "Naming and Shaming"
This applies to everyone. Flaming or other personal attacks will not be tolerated. Don't troll and don't feed the trolls. They will be handled. This is a place that you will see discussion, disagreement, and debate, but all conversation and content should be respectful; no witch-hunts. There will be no spamming, trolling, derailing threads (see below), advertising, or posting any content that is illegal or against Blizzard's ToS (botting, exploiting, selling gold or accounts). Additionally, there will be no pornography, bullying, religious or political discussion, racism, or attacks on sexual orientation. Don't post anyone else's real life information and make sure you only put information on your profile that you want anyone to see. Please make sure that you are posting in the correct forum (I.E. Shadow or Holy/Disc, etc).
Derailing Threads & Staying On Topic
Threads are to be kept on topic, if for anything but ease of reading. We are aware that discussion is fluid, and the original topic might shift slightly, but the spirit of the original topic should be kept. Deviation from topic should be directed to a new thread, or the original thread will be locked and/or split by the Moderation Team.
Post new threads (if needed) in the correct forums. Threads that are posted in the incorrect forums are subject to being locked/moved without notice.
Grammar/Punctuation
I understand that some people aren't good with this type of thing (and may not be good with English altogether). Please try to type as clearly as possible, using correct capitalization and punctuation. Threads with correct G&P are also more inclined to receive responses.
Search & Read Stickies First
If you're new to the site, make use of your search function. *You MUST be logged in to use search!* There is also a Beginner's Q&A forum for newer priests. Read stickies and guides in the forums before making new threads. Duplicate threads, or threads that are discussing the same topic that is being covered in another thread will be locked.
Avatars/Signatures
Keep your signatures classy and tasteful. Please don't use animated images in your signatures. Signatures are allowed to be 525x100. Note that custom avatars were removed for non-Donor rank members due to too many users ignoring this rule. We may allow them again in the future, but not at this time (and it's not up for discussion so please don't make a thread about it).
Legal
By uploading, posting or otherwise transmitting through or to our website any content, you grant to us, our successors and assigns, a non-exclusive, world-wide, royalty free, perpetual, non-revocable license to use or distribute such content in any manner. You agree that we have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should we see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither H2P nor phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
Outside Links & Sources
Links to outside sources are welcome, however, linking personal websites or blogs too much will be frowned upon.
By creating a forum account, you are agreeing to abide by the guidelines stated above.
