I am currently ~921 4/4 T20 using mangaza + Sephuz with terror from the deep / 860 arcanocrystal and relics are 2x SW:P and unleash shadows (VT AS) with

50350 int (unbuffed)

35% crit (~11750 + crit food)

37% haste (~12900 + Sephuz)

50% mastery (~4900)

4% versatility

Because of how insanity drain works there will be a point where mastery overtakes crit, but this is gliding depending on encounter. A general starting point is to let your mastery be around half of your crit, or slightly lower than half. I think your stats look really good. I would personally use mastery food in your situation, especially on multitarget fights.

Thx for the reply, I started using mastery food and I think that a '~2x crit vs mastery' general rule will be a helpful way to look at itemization . I figured there would be a point where more crit wouldn't generate enough insanity to keep you in VF longer and mastery buffing the base damage of the dots and VB would have more value but had no idea how much. I was also wonfering about the level of haste / mastery needed to make SL viable with T20, I would assume something like 15-20% crit, 35-40% haste and high mastery (like 75%+) ?

Yes, that is the general idea. At current gear levels, I would suggest keeping crit a bit higher than 2x mastery, but you should play around with it and see what you like better. Mastery can be very strong on some encounters and you can always swap some items around.

I can't confidently answer any questions about SL. It's just too far away from the meta right now. My guess is that it would require unachievable amounts of haste and be very punishing in practice.

I'm slightly confused about stat weightings.

I've been following the 14k haste cap and stacking as much haste as possible. But I simmed myself last night for stat weightings and it goes Crit=vers=mastery>>haste? I only have 12k haste 12k crit.

My current gear set up: https://www.wowprogress.com/character/e ... G%C3%A1lea

35%Crit

35%Haste

45%Mastery

2%Versa

Is there a massive dip in haste value between 12k and 14k? Is this due to munching void bolts with flay? Should I avoid stacking haste until I can reach 14k?

o/

It's to do with legendaries. Both Sephuz Secret and Mangaza's Madness reduce the amount of haste you "ideally" want. There is more information about this is Semicolondash's more detailed stats review post.
