### Stat weights & AMR

by **supermiikes** » 07 Dec 2016, 03:19

How do I adjust the recommended stat weights from H2P so they will work well with AMR? I think H2P stat weights are normalized so AMR cannot use them effectively. And how would I input a crit cap via AMR? Every time I try it asks for a capped weight - but I don't know how to find these capped weights!

My stat weights currently look like the above. I am using the stat weights from the most recent H2P Shadow Priest guide for LotV and Mind Spike from here - which prioritizes crit rating. But again, they are normalized which is an issue.

Please advise how to input the numbers into AMR to best reflect H2P's strategy with stat weights!

Just a guess, but something like this:

The post you linked is for S2M, not LoTV. It includes a link to the spreadsheet they used. In that spreadsheet they test multiple values of haste and crit and provide their dps averages.

Given a haste cap of 9500 and crit cap of 9000:

Given a haste cap of 9500 and crit cap of 9000:

- Haste at < 9500 rating is worth roughly 19 DPS. Haste > 9500 is worth roughly 16 DPS
- Crit at < 9000 rating is worth roughly 18 DPS. Above the cap there's no data available so the capped weight value is set at less than mastery's weight since you want to start stacking mastery after capping haste and crit

Oops. Looks like you are right. I was meant to link to this: https://howtopriest.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8402#Stat

Thanks for helping me out. I can make sense of how to read the spreadsheet now that you've explained it to me. It doesn't look like there's substantial data for LotV or MS stat weights and caps out there unfortunately. The previous link has this beotorch spreadsheet, but there's no patchwerk fight data and I can't easily tell what the stat caps used were which is a shame.

Thanks again though!

S2M 9.5k Haste

S2M 9k Crit

- Code: Select all
`INT 10.28`

CRIT 13.67

HASTE 15.31

MAST 11.31

VERS 10.28

S2M 9k Crit

- Code: Select all
`INT 10.82`

CRIT 14.83

HASTE 11.90

MAST 13.10

VERS 10.93

Thanks for the hard work.

But there aren't stat weights after reaching both caps, or am I wrong?

The way I'd do it is to use the crit weights with the haste from the haste weights. Once you reach each cap drop the weight to 11.9. That way you'll end up with haste (cap) > crit (cap) > mast > haste/crit > vers/int

Hey guys. I only play Shadow as my offspec but I'd still like to get the most out of it.

Any chance someone could help me figure out a way to input current statweights into AMR?

Specifically the weights for LOTV + SL with 4 piece from here:

https://howtopriest.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8402#Stat

I looked up the spreadsheets to find the pre-normalized values and I think I'm close to figuring it out, but I'm not quite sure I'm doing it right. This is what I have so far:

I figured I'll enter caps at 12500 and 4500 for now and set the weight higher than Mastery to ensure that these stats are maintained first, then drop them to the actual value per the spreadsheet after I'm at the cap.

However, I'm seeing some weird stuff when I actually use it like that.

Now I admit, I may not have great gear for Shadow as I'm main Holy, but either way, unless I'm misunderstanding how the weights work, it shouldn't be dropping a ton of Haste with these weights and instead add Crit and Mastery as the Haste is now below the cappe value.

Would really appreciate some help :) Thanks!

`int 15.77`

crit 16.09

haste 18.93

mast 21.45

vers 14.20

It's easy to calculate from mine or DJ's spreadsheets. Just divide the normalized weights by the DPS weight.

Thanks for that :) Without caps those just drop all my Haste and Crit for Mastery though. I've tried this instead:

And it seems to work okay?

You still need caps, the haste crit weights are post-cap.
